LIVE REVIEW : Black Honey @ Le Pop Up du Label - Paris
A la fin du mois, après une
période d’examen extrêmement longue,
nous avons enfin entamé l’année 2017 comme il se doit : avec un
concert. On s’est donc rendu au pop up du label, pour être témoin de la
première et certainement pas la dernière date française du quatuor de Brighton,
Black Honey. La singularité de ce
groupe c’est ses vibes qui nous rappellent les années 60 (comme ca on n’était
pas nées ?!), et le meilleur dans tout ca c’est qu’on retrouve cette
énergie en live. Avec une voie encore meilleure que sur les versions studio, Izzy Bee, la chanteuse, a su hypnotiser
la salle et à fait l’unanimité. Malgré les nombreux photographes au premier
rang, le public a su montrer son attention et amour pour le groupe en chantant
les différentes chansons et en étant très présents avec le groupe au stand de
merch après le concert. Un sans faute donc pour Black Honey qui risquent de revenir très bientôt de l’autre côté de
la manche.
At the end of January, after a way to long exam session, we finally
started 2017 as it should be : with a gig. We gathered at Le Pop Up du
Label in Paris to witness Black Honey’s
first, and certainely not last, date in France. The singularity of the band is
its 1960’s vibes and the best in all of that is the presence of this energy in
the live shows as well. With a voice even better live, Izzy Bee, the singer, hypnotised the audience and definitely (a
fait l’unanimité). Despite the big number
of photographers in the 1st row, the audience showed the band their attention
and love by singing their songs and showing up after the gig at the merch
stand. A flawless performance for Black Honey, who might come back to Europe
very soon.
